But what is the anal canal?

The term is about is the last section of the digestive system between the rectum and the outside world.

If the cushions and tissues are localisated at the top of the anal canal,it is referred to as internal Hemoroids.

If these tissues are localisated at the end of the anal canal very near the anus, they are called external types.

Causes:

Generally, the reasons why normal hemoroids became distended is unknown. However, there are some causes that my be considered about this disease. These are:

  • Straining
  • Constipation
  • Tumor in the abdomen
  • Prolonged sitting on the toilet.
  • low intake of fiber
  • Pregnancy

But remember these are theories. No evidence and demonstration has already been made about these causes.

Symptoms:

The symptoms particularly pain is related to the localisation of the mass.

If the condition is internal, it will receive its sensibility from visceral nerves which senses only pressure. So one of the major symptom of internal type of this condition is sensation of fulness.

If the pathology is external,it will receive its sensibility from somatic nerves which are able to sense pain. This explains clearly why one of the major complaint about external hemoroids is pain.

Other signs and symptoms:
